Red Bulls to Host Sporting Kansas City Thursday in MLS Cup Playoffs

KANSAS CITY, KS (October 26, 2014) - Forward Bradley Wright-Phillips tied the all-time MLS single-season goals record of 27, scoring both of New York's tallies in a 2-0 road win over Sporting Kansas City Sunday evening.
Finishing fourth in the regular season table, New York (13-10-11, 50 pts.) will host fifth-seeded Sporting Kansas City (14-13-7, 49 pts.) in the Eastern Conference knockout round this Thursday, October 30 at 8:00 PM at Red Bull Arena (TV: ESPN2). The winner of that match will face the top-seeded D.C. United in a two-leg Eastern Conference Semifinals Series. New York would host the first leg on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 4:00 PM at Red Bull Arena if it advanced.
