
Red Bulls Sign Forward Sainey Touray

SECAUCUS, NJ (August 29, 2008) - Red Bull New York announced today that it has signed Gambian forward Sainey Touray to a developmental contract. To make room for Touray on the developmental roster, midfielder Sinisa Ubiparipovic was moved to the senior roster. Touray will be available for selection for the Red Bulls' match tomorrow evening against D.C. United at 7:30 PM ET at RFK Stadium (TV: FSC, Radio: WQBU 92.7 FM).
Touray, 18, previously played for Wallidan FC of the Gamabian first division from 2005-08, leading Wallidan to the 2008 Gambian title as the club's top scorer with nine goals. Prior to that, he started his career with Tallinding United of the Gambian Second Division, where he was the league's youngest forward after joining the team in 2003.
Touray has featured for the Gambian Under-20 and Under-17 international squads and made his U-20 debut on March 25, 2007 in a 2-1 loss to Chile at the Suwon International Youth Football Tournament. Touray was also trained with Arsenal of the English Premier League in 2007.
