
Red Bulls Reserves Drop 4-0 Decision to FC Dallas

CASA GRANDE, AZ (March 7, 2011) - The New York Red Bulls Reserves dropped a 4-0 decision against a near full strength FC Dallas side in a scrimmage played Monday in Casa Grande, AZ.
Red Bulls guest goalkeeper Alex Horwath was one of the busiest men on the field throughout the game, denying FC Dallas on several occasions and making spectacular saves coming off his line.
Marvin Chavez scored twice for FC Dallas, followed by a strike from Maykel Galindo in the 57th minute and one from Eric Avila in the 72nd minute to seal the victory for the reigning Western Conference champion.
The best opportunity for the Red Bulls Reserves came in the 55th minute, when midfielder John Rooney was denied by goalkeeper Kevin Hartman off a free kick from 19 yards out.
The Red Bulls will close their 2011 preseason slate tomorrow when they take on Club Atlas de Guadalajara in a match called "Red Bull Reto del Sol" at 10:00 PM ET at the University of Phoenix Stadium. The game will be broadcast live by MSG Plus as well as ESPN Deportes. New York will open the 2011 MLS Regular Season on Saturday, March 19 at 7:30 PM at Red Bull Arena when they take on Seattle Sounders FC.
