
Red Bulls' Kemar Lawrence, Derrick Etienne Jr. Earn National Team

HARRISON, N.J. - New York Red Bulls defender Kemar Lawrence and Homegrown midfielder Derrick Etienne Jr. have been called in to their respective national teams for next week's FIFA International window.
Lawrence will join Jamaica, and Etienne will be with the Haiti senior national team, both for Caribbean Cup Qualifiers. Lawrence and Jamaica travel to Guyana on October 11th for a second group stage match, while Haiti plays its third round group stage games against Guyana on Wednesday, October 5th and away at St. Kitts Nevis on Tuesday, October 11th.
Lawrence has made 19 appearances for New York this year, all starts. He is one of seven MLS players to be called up to the Jamaican National team.
Lawrence became a regular for his native Jamaica in 2015, representing the Reggae Boyz in both the Copa America and Gold Cup tournaments. He reached the Gold Cup final with the Reggae Boyz, and was part of the Caribbean Cup-winning side in 2014.
Etienne Jr. is a product of the Red Bulls Academy system, and signed his first professional contract with the club last December after one season at the University of Virginia. Etienne has represented Haiti at a variety of youth levels, most notably in CONCACAF Championships at the Under-17 and U-20 levels. Etienne Jr. recorded five goals and six assists playing on loan for Red Bulls II in the regular season and recently made his MLS debut as a sub against D.C. United on September 11. Etienne's father and uncle both represented Haiti at the international level as well.
