Red Bull New York News Release

SECAUCUS, NJ (Tuesday, May 16, 2006) - Red Bull New York announced today that the club has fined midfielder Amado Guevara $4,000 for his actions this past weekend. The Honduran midfielder will not be listed on the Red Bulls 18-man active roster for their upcoming match with Chivas USA on Saturday, May 20.

"I'm very disappointed in Amado," said Red Bulls Head Coach Mo Johnston. "The name on the front of the jersey is more important than the name on the back."

"Everyone in this organization- whether a member of the front office or a player on the field- is accountable to one another," said Red Bull New York Managing Director Marc de Grandpre. "Amado's actions were insulting to the organization and more importantly the fans, and as a result we have reprimanded him accordingly."

The Red Bulls (0-1-5) will play Chivas USA this Saturday, May 20 at Giants Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET.
