FC Dallas News Release
FRISCO, Texas (Tuesday, May 16, 2006) - FC Dallas today announced today a date change in the 2006 MLS regular season schedule. The FC Dallas road game against the Kansas City Wizards, which was originally scheduled for August 26, will now be played a day later, on Sunday, August 27 at 7:30 p.m. also at Arrowhead Stadium. The change was made to accommodate the National Football League's Kansas City Chiefs' preseason schedule. The Chiefs and Wizards currently share Arrowhead Stadium.
This is the second date change to the FC Dallas schedule since the 2006 MLS schedule was released in February. Last month, FC Dallas shifted a home game against the Colorado Rapids from August 5 to its new date of July 29 at Pizza Hut Park (time TBD). That schedule change was made in order to accommodate the Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game, which will feature the MLS All-Stars against English Premier League's Chelsea on August 5 at the Chicago Fire's new soccer stadium.
FC Dallas is currently in first place in the Western Conference with a record of 4-1-3, 15 points. The team looks to stretch its record 10-game home unbeaten streak on Saturday, May 20 when the New England Revolution comes to Pizza Hut Park for a 7:30 p.m. (CT) kickoff.
