STREAKING

Chris Coste and Matt Kata have both had a successful road trip hitting safely in all 7 games played so far. In fact their streaks actually have reached 8 straight as they hit safely in the August 14 game vs. Syracuse. During his streak Coste is batting .424 (14-33) while Kata is at .324 (11-34).

VICTORINO AT 18 STRAIGHT

Shane Victorino has the longest streak on the team and the longest active streak in the league at 18 straight. During the streak he is batting .390 (30-79) with 15 runs scored. Victorino's streak is now 10th best in franchise history. A hit tonight will tie him for the 8th spot with Rick Schu and Nick Punto. Others ahead of him are: Pablo Ozuna (27), Ricky Otero & David Doster (25), Ryan Howard (24), Wendell Magee, Mike Robertston and Gene Schall (20). Victorino has also hit is 22 straight road games - every single one since the all-star break.

TEAM TRIPLES

With 43 triples as a team the Red Barons lead the International League - just ahead of Toledo's 42. They have already surpassed last year's total of 39 but are well short of the all-time record of 59 set by the 1991 club. On that team Julio Peguero led with 9 but seven different players had at least five three baggers. Playing at the triple friendly Lackawanna County Stadium the Red Barons have hit 24 in 68 games as compared to 19 in 61 road games.
