RSL Spring Training Notes

* Real Salt Lake has finalized scrimmage plans during its opening camp in Arizona, which will begin with an intra-squad scrimmage at the Reach 11 Sports Complex on Sunday, Feb. 5. The Claret-and-Cobalt will finally get the chance to kick it around against someone other than their teammates next Thursday, Feb. 10, when they will take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Grande Sports World, with kickoff in Casa Grande set for 11:00 a.m. local/MT. RSL will close out its match schedule back on the Reach 11 grounds on getaway day, Tuesday, Feb. 14, against D.C. United at 12:00 p.m. MT.

* RSL Nation can follow details from all three matches as they happen via the club's official Twitter home, @RealSaltLake. In addition, RSL's online home of www.RealSaltLake.com and the team's Facebook homepage will host exclusive content from The Grand Canyon State across the team's entire 2012 preseason, including interviews via the RSL Insider, presented by AT&T, and photo galleries of the Claret-and-Cobalt as they begin to get down to business in Arizona.

* Real Salt Lake has announced that 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft selection MF Benjamin Ubierna will not join the squad during the opening preseason trip, thus paring down RSL's preseason roster to 31 members. Visit the roster page on www.RealSaltLake.com for an updated listing of the players making the trek south to Arizona on Tuesday. In addition, a PDF of the full version of the 2012 RSL preseason roster can be downloaded by clicking here.

* FW Paulo Jr. and DF Terukazu Tenaka are among that list of 31 players, as the duo arrived in Utah last Saturday and Thursday nights, respectively, and began to take part in team workouts immediately. After grinding through the U.S. Men's National Team's annual three-week January camp earlier in the month, veterans MF Kyle Beckerman and GK Nick Rimando will be allowed to get some extra rest and recuperation in Utah early in the week before heading down to Scottsdale on Thursday. MF Enzo Martinez is also slated to join the Claret-and-Cobalt for the first time during the squad's first visit to The Copper State.
