NDY, Utah - Real Monarchs SLC forward Luis Palma has been named to the Honduras U-20 roster by Head Coach Jorge Alexy Jiménez Espinal for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Poland .
While in Poland, Honduras will face New Zealand on May 24 followed by Uruguay on May 27 before finishing the Group C stage against Norway on May 30. Palma will return to the club at the conclusion of the tournament. Honduras were the fourth and final CONCACAF nation to win through to the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup having qualified last November.
"We're ecstatic that Luis has made the final roster for Honduras," Real Monarchs SLC General Manager Dan Egner said. "This is a major milestone in his career and development, and everyone at the club will be pulling for him and Honduras at the World Cup.
