Real Maryland Open Youth Tryouts May 15th and May 22nd

Silver Spring, MD - On Saturday May 15th and Saturday May 22nd Real Maryland will be conducting "open" tryouts at Richard Montgomery High School for Boys and Girl Travel Soccer.

On Saturday, May 15th tryouts will take place from 6 - 8 pm under the lights. On Saturday, May 22nd 3:30 - 5:30 pm tryouts for the Monarch Travel Teams will take place at Richard Montgomery High School before the Professional Team's Home game against the Charlotte Eagles.

Travel Team age groups that are being looked at by Real Maryland FC are the U8-U12 age groups. The travel teams will play in OBSL in the fall of 2010. Please email General Manager David Noyes at gm@realmaryland.us or call the office between 9-5 at (301) 933-6460 for questions or to register.

Players that eventually make the Real Maryland FC Squads will receive free entry into all Professional Home Games and will have the potential opportunity to travel over to Spain to live and train with Real Sporting Gijon once they reach the ages of 13-17 years old.

In 2009, the Monarchs sent over 3 youth players to live and train with their partner club Real Sporting Gijon. In addition to its youth, Real Maryland sent over its captain John Borrajo to live and train with the club. The opportunity landed him playing time in Sweden.
