Real Maryland FC Announces PDL Tryouts

Silver Spring, Maryland - Real Maryland FC is pleased to announce its first round of tryouts for the 2011 PDL Team. The tryout will take place on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Maryland from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Tryout spots will be limited to 50 applicants.

The Monarchs are looking for as much local talent as possible, but the tryout is open to anyone who would like to participate. "This is another step for Real Maryland FC, says General Manager David Noyes. "We have had success in the older age groups of our Super Y League Teams in the past couple of years. Combine that with the collegiate talent in the DC Area and we will look to put a strong team on the pitch."

The top U23 Men's League in North America, The USL Premier Development League (PDL) featured 67 teams within four conferences across the United States and Canada in 2010. The PDL season consists of 16 regular season matches for each team, eight home and eight away, and provides elite collegiate players the opportunity to taste a higher level of competition while maintaining their eligibility.
