Penn FC News Release
The Harrisburg City Islanders will complete their three game road trip Thursday night against the Real Maryland Monarchs. The Islanders were unable to get any points this past weekend down south. Charlotte scored two second half goals to defeat the Islanders 2-0 on Friday, and Charleston scored three restarts in route to a 3-1 win on Saturday. Real Maryland earned a point this past weekend on the road in Richmond with a 1-1 tie.
The Islanders and Monarchs have already met once this season with the Monarchs taking a 2-0 win on City Island. Harrisburg has had success on the road against the Monarchs the past two seasons, winning three times and tying once. There are only 3 points separating the two teams in the standings, so Thursday is a big game for both teams.
Jason Hotchkin scored his first goal as an Islander on Saturday night, and newly signed J.T. Noone added the assist. Midfielders Nate Jafta and Brian Ombiji both sat out on Saturday night against Charleston with injuries.
