
Reading's Gill Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Riley Gill of the Reading Royals is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for March 18-24. It is the second consecutive week that Gill has won the weekly honor.
The 28-year-old went 3-0-0 with one shutout, a 0.69 goals-against average and a .973 save percentage in three appearances last week, helping the Royals to extend their winning streak to eight games.
Gill stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced in an 8-2 win at Fort Wayne on Wednesday, made 15 saves in a 3-1 victory at Toledo on Saturday and stopped all 30 shots he faced in a 2-0 win against the Walleye on Sunday.
A native of Northfield, Minn., Gill is 10-2-0 with three shutouts, a 1.18 goals-against average and a save percentage of .955 in 12 games with the Royals this season. He has allowed two goals or less in 11 of his 12 appearances.
Gill has appeared in 83 career ECHL games with Reading, Kalamazoo and Victoria posting an overall record of 48-24-9 with eight shutouts, a 2.63 goals-against average and a save percentage of .913.
