RazorSharks Jump To Number Two In New ABA Power Rankings

(Rochester, N.Y.) The Rochester RazorSharks of the American Basketball Association moved up to #2 today as the new ABA Power Rankings were announced. Rochester had held the #4 spot in the rankings for the past four weeks. The RazorSharks (19-3) are behind only the Indiana Alley Cats (22-2) who have been ranked #1 in the weekly rankings since they first began on November 22. Rochester is currently on an 11-game winning streak and have won 15 of their last 16 games. The RazorSharks last lost on December 18, 2005 at Harlem.

ABA ALL-STAR BREAK

Rochester heads to the ABA All-Star break in first place in the Connie Hawkins Division. The ABA All-Star Game will take place this weekend at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida. The RazorSharks will be represented by forward Chris Carrawell playing for the East All-Stars and Rochester Head Coach Rod Baker as an assistant coach to the same East squad. RazorSharks Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Orest Hrywnak will be the keynote speaker at the league meetings, talking about the Rochester's success both on and off the court, including team brand identity and marketing.

The team will return to the court on Friday, February 17 as they visit New Jersey to play the Newark Express, who are coached by NBA legend Darryl Dawkins. The RazorSharks then travel to Baltimore to meet the Pearls on Saturday, February 18. Next home game is Monday, February 20 at 4:05 p.m. against former SU star Lawrence Moten and the Maryland Nighthawks at The Blue Cross Arena.
