ABA Names All-Star Alternates
February 7, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today named two alternates to the ABA All Star teams. According to Joe Newman, "There are so many great players in the ABA deserving of recognition. Putting these teams together has been very difficult because the talent is exceptional. However, we felt that adding Bryant Lewandowski of the Ohio Aviators was right in that he is averaging 27 points per game, 6 assists and 5 rebounds - and we just heard from Tom Doyle, owner of the Maryland Nighthawks that Randy "White Chocolate" Gill is returning from overseas - and he is definitely an incredible player and a major drawing card - we we've added Randy. If one or two players are unable to compete for any reason, look for Bryant and Randy to suit up - and they will probably compete in the 3-pt shootout too."
East Alternates: Randy Gill, 6'1" point guard Maryland Nighthawks; Bryant Lewandowski, 6'5" guard from Ohio Aviators.
