
ABA to broadcast All-Star game live Saturday

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) announced today that the 2006 ABA All-Star Game to be played on Saturday, February 11 at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida will be broadcast live worldwide. The game and pre-game activities can be heard live by logging onto www.abalive.com, the Official Website of the ABA. The pre-game show will begin around 5pm and will feature interviews with the participants and coaches, plus recaps of the skills competitions including the 3-point shooting and slam dunk contests.
Derrick Pearson, host of the ABA's weekly talk show, ABALIVETALK, will handle the play-by-play for the game plus bring you reports on all of the activities at this year's All-Star Weekend. The game will feature such ABA stars as Tim Hardaway of the Florida Pit Bulls, Armon Gilliam of the Pittsburgh Xplosion, Lawrence Moten of the Maryland Nighthawks, Chris Carrawell of the Rochester RazorSharks and Chandler Thompson of the Indiana Alley Cats.
ABALIVETALK will air a two-hour special Saturday at 3pm. The show will include more interviews and updates from the All-Star weekend and special reports about the ABA League Owners Meeting, plus the announcement of the ABA Players of the Week Awards.
