
Rays Beat Elizabethton

The Rays came out on top tonight against Elizabethton, 4-2. Elizabethton scored one run in the 2nd inning and one in the 9th, while the P-Rays got three runs in the 4th and one in the 5th. Blake Bivens is credited with the win and Alberto Casanas with the save.
Princeton is now 9-5 on the season and ranked first in the Appalachian League East. Elizabethton is tied for second in the Appalachian League West with the Greeneville Astros at 7-7.
Elizabethton scored first in the second inning on a homerun by Tyler Kuresa. The P-Rays were able to take the lead in the 4th, scoring three runs. Jamie Mitchell singled, bringing Landon Cray home. Brett Sullivan and Mitchell made it home on a fielding error. The Rays weren't done yet. Jose Rojas scored on a single by Zac Law. Elizabethton tried to make a comeback, but came up short with only one run in the 9th inning from a homerun by Rainis Silva.
