
P-Rays Fall to Pulaski

Pulaski came out on top tonight, beating Princeton 6-3. In the second inning, both teams scored two runs, but Pulaski came away with three in the 4th and Princeton could not catch up after that. Princeton scored one more run in the 5th and Pulaski had another in the 8th. Cody Carroll for Pulaski is credited with the win and Garrett Mundell with the save. Brock Burke takes the loss for Princeton.
Princeton, 9-6, is now second in the Appalachian League East behind the Burlington Royals. Pulaski is right behind Princeton, in the East, at 9-7.
Pulaski scored first in the second inning. Matthew Duran started out with a home run. Kendall Coleman scored on a double by Frank Frias. Princeton kept up with Pulaski and scored two in the bottom of the inning. David Olmeda-Barrera scored off of a double by Angel Perez. Kewby Meyer made it home with a single by Peter Maris III. Pulaski came out strong in the 4th scoring three runs. The first run was scored by Frias off of a sacrifice fly by Billy Fleming. Carlos Vidal made it home with a single by Austin Afenir. Duran singled, bringing Hoy Jun Park home. In the bottom of the 5th inning for Princeton, Bill Pujols scored off of a sacrifice fly by Landon Cray. Pulaski topped off the game in the 8th with a home run by Fleming.
