Rawhide Take Down Ports; Swales Earns First Win

VISALIA, CA - Visalia Rawhide snap a nine-game losing streak and defeat the Stockton Ports 3-1 to even up the series. Josh Swales earned his first professional win. He allowed one run off four hits through 5.2 innings of work. Swales walked one Ports batter while striking out three.

Wilderd Patino also hit a milestone by stealing his 30th base of the season. His 30 stolen bases come in only 51 games played. The offense came alive for the Rawhide on Wednesday night. They pulled together nine hits over eight innings. Junior Franco and Sergio Gutierrez both hit a home run in the contest. Franco's is his third in two games and his seventh of the season. Gutierrez's home run was his first at Valley Strong Ballpark and his second of the season with Visalia.
