Arizona Rattlers News Release

MESA, Ariz. - The Arena Football League and the Arizona Rattlers announced that WR TRANDON HARVEY was named the AFL's NiFTy Playmaker of the Week for his efforts against the Chicago Rush last Friday night.

Harvey (5-10, 197, Washington State) snagged 10 receptions in the game for 121 yards and two touchdowns, the third most receptions for Arizona that night. Harvey also returned six kickoffs for 101 yards.

The third-year wide receiver is the longest tenured Rattler on the squad. He joined the team in 2007 after standing out at Arizona's open tryout that year. He was named to the 2007 AFL All-Rookie Team after a stunning 101 receptions and 30 touchdowns in his first campaign. He followed that up in 2008 with 110 receptions. He currently ranks fifth all-time on the Rattlers receiving charts in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns.

Adding kick return duties in 2008, Harvey ran back five kicks for scores, including one stretch where he took one to the house in three consecutive games. Currently ranked sixth in all time Rattler returns, if he racks up another 284 yards, he will surpass Arizona legend Calvin Schexnayder for third on the list.

He currently leads the 2010 edition of the Rattlers in scoring, all-purpose yards and receiving touchdowns. Harvey is also tops on the team in kick return yards and ran one back for six against Cleveland (4/3/10).
