CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - Wednesday night's game between the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Cedar Rapids Kernels at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium has been rained out. Heavy rain fell over East Central Iowa all day and showed no signs of stopping anytime soon.

Since this was the final meeting of the first half between the Timber Rattlers and Kernels, the game will not be rescheduled.

Wisconsin had lost five home dates to weather during a homestand April 8 through April 15. This was the first road game canceled due to the weather this season.

The Timber Rattlers head to Clinton, Iowa for the start of a three-game series - weather permitting - on Thursday night. Game time is 6:30pm.

The team returns Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium on Sunday evening at 5:05pm to begin a nine-game homestand. The Rattlers host the Quad Cities River Bandits April 21-23; the West Michigan Whitecaps April 25-27; and the South Bend Silver Hawks April 28-30.
