Rascals Opening Weekend Packed With Fun

O'Fallon, Mo. - The River City Rascals, presented by Signature Medical Group, kick off the 2012 season this weekend in grand fashion with a packed schedule of promotions and entertainment, starting with opening night on Friday.
Opening night, presented by SMG, will feature a multitude of entertainment. Reggie the Entertainer will be on hand to perform in all his wackiness throughout the evening festivities. Come check out a Budweiser Clydesdale and get a free ticket to the opener or Sunday's game just by test driving a new Dodge Ram during the first of their Ride and Drive Friday nights. O'Fallon Mayor Bill Hennessey will christen the all-new Mayor Bill Big Dog on the field during the game and a spectacular fireworks show following the game.
On Saturday night, St. Louis Cardinals' mascot Fredbird will be here as the gates open at 6:00 and the Rascals' promotional crew will roll out a full slate of this season's in-game promotions, featuring the all-new Build-A-Burrito from Sombrero's and Deer Creek Dental's Brush the Bases, not to mention classics like sumo wrestling and the dizzy bat race.
Sunday features area native and Miami Marlin starting pitcher Mark Buerhle in the first of three bobble head giveaways this season and marks the first of five Sunday games that are "Family Value Fun Days" featuring four tickets, four hotdogs, and four sodas for just $40.00.
A limited number of tickets remain for all three games this opening weekend as the Rockford RiverHawks come in town with game times Friday and Saturday night at 7:05 and Sunday at 6:05.
