Helena Brewers News Release

The Helena Brewers (5-8) were shut out for the fourth time this season on Friday, falling to the Ogden Raptors (7-5) 8-0 at Lindquist Field.

Jose De Leon (5-0) was lights out in the start for Ogden. The Pioneer League's ERA leader went seven innings of shutout baseball, giving up just three hits and striking out 11.

The Raptors would score in clumps coming up with three runs in the fourth. Andrew Godbold ripped an RBI double to right to score Yensys Capellan from first and later came in on an RBI double from Jimmy Allen.

It was more hard-hitting from Ogden in the seventh when Cody Bellinger had an RBI triple and Allen came up with his second RBI double of the night.

Helena's Alan Sharkey came up with a single in the second to extend his hitting streak to a season-high five games and Connor Narron had a two-out double in the ninth for the only extra-base hit of the night for the Brewers. He was one of just two Brewers to reach second in the game. None would reach third.

The Brewers and Raptors will face off in game two of their three-game series Saturday from Lindquist Field. First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m.

About the Brewers: The Helena Brewers are a minor league affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. Home games are played at Kindrick Legion Field in Helena from mid-June through early-September. Tickets start at just $7 for adults and $6 for seniors and children. For more information call the Brewers at (406) 495-0500.
