Raptors 905 News Release
The Toronto Raptors announced Friday the promotions of Chad Sanders to Director of Scouting, Luke Winn to Raptors 905 General Manager, Rayhan Malik to Head Athletic Trainer and hired Ben Uzoh as a Pro Scout.
Sanders joined the organization in 2017 as the manager of basketball operations for Raptors 905 and was promoted to 905 General Manager the following year. He was named the 2020-21 NBA G League Executive of the Year after putting together a team that posted a league-best 12-3 record. Sanders graduated from the University of Kentucky and was a member of the Dominican Republic national program for six seasons before joining the 905.
Winn enters his seventh season with the organization and will continue his role with the Raptors as Director, Prospect Strategy. The Northwestern grad joined the front office in 2017, after a 15-year journalism career covering basketball and the Olympic Games at Sports Illustrated, where he was a senior writer.
Malik was Head Athletic Trainer for Raptors 905 for four seasons (2017-21) before transitioning to the Raptors as an assistant athletic trainer prior to the 2021-22 season. Malik studied at York University where he completed his BSc with honours in Kinesiology as well as the Athletic Therapy Certificate Program.
Uzoh joined the Raptors prior to last season as part of the NBA's Future Basketball Operations Stars (FBOS) program which provides trainees with opportunities to learn about various components of basketball operations from industry experts and leaders, while driving greater diversity within the NBA ecosystem. Uzoh graduated from the University of Tulsa and has spent over decade (2010-22) playing professionally across the globe, including 60 career games in the NBA (2010-12) with New Jersey, Cleveland and Toronto. He also represented Nigeria at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
