Raptors 905 Acquires Canadian Nick Wiggins

Raptors 905, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, announced Friday it has added Canadian guard Nick Wiggins and forward Ronald Roberts to its roster.

Wiggins, a Toronto native, was claimed by Raptors 905 from the NBA D-League's available player pool. The Wichita State grad split last season between the Idaho Stampede (NBA D-League) and Tigers Tubingen (Basketball Bundesliga - Germany). In 28 games with Idaho, he averaged 9.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 23.9 minutes. In 11 games with Tubingen, he averaged 5.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 11.7 minutes.

Roberts' returning player rights were originally acquired by Raptors 905 October 30, 2015 in a trade with the Santa Cruz Warriors along with Santa Cruz's own original 2016 third-round pick in exchange for Raptors 905's own original 2015 second-round pick, own original 2016 first-round pick and the returning player rights to forward Kevin Jones. The Saint Joseph's grad attended Toronto Raptors 2015 training camp, where in three preseason contests he recorded 10 points and eight rebounds in 23 minutes. In 16 NBA D-League games last season with Santa Cruz and Delaware, he averaged 17.5 points, 11.9 rebounds and 30.4 minutes.

Raptors 905 plays its first regular season game when the club visits the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. The club's home opener is set for Thursday, November 19 when it plays host to the Maine Red Claws at Hershey Centre at 7:30 p.m.
