COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Tuesday, July 31, 2012) - The Colorado Rapids will host the club's third annual Charity Classic, a golf tournament with Rapids players and coaches, on Monday, September 10 at The Club at Pradera in Parker, Colo. The scramble-style tournament starts at 1:30 p.m. and is open to individual players and foursomes, with all proceeds from the event benefitting Kroenke Sports Charities.
The tournament is limited to a maximum of 36 foursomes, and those interested in participating can register by visiting https://www.ksetix.com/community/RapidsCharityClassic, contacting Heather Garcia of the Kroenke Sports and Entertainment Community Relations department at hgarcia@pepsicenter.com or 303-405-1166, or at Rapids games at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. All proceeds from the event, which raised more than $25,000 in its second edition last year, will benefit Kroenke Sports Charities. KSC supports underserved children and families in Colorado through educational and recreational programs, as well as appearances and sports clinics by players and coaches, donations of autographed merchandise and tickets, and the gift of services by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment employees.
