
D.C. United to Host Volkswagen Ride & Drive Event

Washington, D.C. (July 31, 2012) - D.C. United announced today details for the club's upcoming Volkswagen Ride & Drive event, which will take place on Sunday, August 5 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at RFK Stadium's Lot 7 and will feature ten D.C. United first team players. Admission and parking will be free and the event will start immediately after the club's Reserve League match against the Columbus Crew, with kickoff scheduled for 11:00 a.m. The reserve match is also free and open to the public.
Every person that test-drives a vehicle will receive two tickets to the August 19 home match against the Philadelphia Union as well as be entered to win 2013 Season Tickets (two seats), a 2013 10-Match Select plan (two seats), and the chance to be the ceremonial kicker and passes to the Volkswagen Lounge for the August 19 match.
The event will also benefit the area's youth soccer teams. If five or more players from the same youth soccer team test-drive a vehicle, they will be entered to win a United player appearance at their team's training session.
In addition, there will be kids' activities including an obstacle course, cornhole, foosball and a photo booth.
