Rapids Release Standing Room-Only Tickets For Opening Day

COMMERCE CITY, CO. - The Colorado Rapids have released a limited number of standing room-only tickets for their 2008 season opener versus the Los Angeles Galaxy, taking place this Saturday, March 29 at 7:30 pm MT at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, the team announced today.
Priced at $15 per ticket, these standing room-only tickets will go on-sale on Wednesday, March 26 at 12 p.m. MT and are a final opportunity for fans to secure their place for the Rapids' season opener this Saturday.
"I think we have seen that the energy and excitement that a season opener carries and the recognition that surrounds the Los Angeles Galaxy, together are creating a passionate soccer environment for our fans to kick off a season," said Rapids Managing Director Jeff Plush. "To be able to have our team playing our home opener to a sold-out stadium in consecutive years speaks volumes about our fans and of the world-class facilities here at Dick's Sporting Goods Park."
Last year, Colorado played to a packed stadium in a 2-1 victory over D.C. United in the first match of the MLS season and the inaugural event at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
