COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - The Colorado Rapids dominated in a 3-0 win over the Portland Timbers on Saturday, with forward Conor Casey and midfielder Jamie Smith both scoring their first goals of the season. Jaime CastrillÃ"n also scored a team-leading fifth goal of the year, and goalkeeper Matt Pickens earned his 39th career win in a Rapids uniform, tying the club record.

For Casey, it was his first goal since returning earlier this season from an Achilles injury suffered last July, and Smith scored in his first game back after a major knee injury suffered in the playoffs last year. Littleton native Brian Mullan turned in another excellent performance at right midfield, assisting on Casey's goal, while MartÃ-n Rivero notched his sixth assist of the season on Smith's goal, leading the Rapids.
