(Kitchener, ON) - Connor Bunnaman's goal near the midway mark of the third period stood up as the winner, as the Rangers beat the Spitfires 6-4 in front of 6,310 at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium Saturday night, taking a 2-0 lead in their Western Conference quarter-final series with the Spitfires.
Brandon Robinson scored twice (3, 4) and added an assist, as the home side overcame a 3-1 deficit to win for the second time in three nights.
Mikhail Sergachev scored twice and Gabriel Vilardi chipped in a pair of assists for the Spits.
Mario Culina (20 saves) took the loss in goal for the second straight game, while Dawson Carty made 31 saves in the win.
The series now shifts back to Windsor for Game Three on Monday night (7:05). Game Four goes Wednesday at the WFCU Centre (7:05).
