Erie Otters News Release
Kitchener, Ont. - The Erie Otters played hard on the road against the Kitchener Rangers but could not get the victory as they lost 4-2 Friday night at Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, extending their losing streak to eight games.
Josh Sterk scored just over three minutes into the game to give the Rangers the lead, but the Otters equalized the score later in the first thanks to a power play goal from Connor Brown. The rookie redirected a shot by Sondre Olden past John Gibson at 12 minutes, 26 seconds for his fifth goal of the season.
The Rangers would break the tie late in the second as Andrew Crescenzi scored on the power play to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead going into the third.
Tobias Reider and Zach Lorentz scored in the third period to help the Rangers pull away, but Mitch Eisenberg was able to score his first OHL goal with 15 seconds left to make it a final of 4-2.
Ramis Sadikov was strong in net for the Otters as he made 45 saves in the loss.
