Rangers Dominate 67's

Kitchener, ON: Victor Oreskovich scored once and added three assists in leading the Rangers to a 7-2 win over the visiting Ottawa 67's this afternoon at The Aud.

After the 67's jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first period Peter Tsimikalis scored his 8th goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1.

In the second period the Rangers found the back of the net four times to build up a 5-2 lead on goals by Yannick Weber (8), Matt Halischuk (25), Victor Oreskovich (16) and Nick Spaling (17).

Tsimikalis (9) and Kevin Henderson (21) scored in the third period to round out a 7-2 win by the Rangers.

John Murray picked up the win turning aside 20 shots.

In the game the Rangers outshot the 67's by a wide 64-22 margin.

Prior to the game the Rangers honoured Paul Coffey in a ceremony by raising a banner to The Aud rafters commemorating his Hall of Fame NHL career.

The Rangers next home game is Friday, January 19th against the Sarnia Sting. Game time is scheduled for

7:30 p.m.
