
Rangers and 67's Complete Trade

Kitchener Rangers News Release
The Kitchener Rangers have traded defenceman Joseph Garreffa to the Ottawa 67's.
In exchange, the Rangers will receive:
a third round pick in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection
a third round pick in 2022
a third round pick in 2024
Garreffa was originally selected by the Rangers 44th overall in the third round of the 2015 OHL Priority Selection. In 245 regular season games with the Blueshirts, the Toronto native recorded 72 goals and 153 assists for 225 points.
Following the 2018-19 regular season, Garreffa was named the recipient of the Ted Scharf Humanitarian Award for the second year in a row, the Most Popular Player, and shared the Blueline Club Award for Most Gentlemanly Player with Rickard Hugg.
Garreffa was also the runner-up for the OHL's Most Sportsmanlike Player.
"Joe has been a fan favourite and big part of our organization for the last four seasons," said general manager Mike McKenzie. "We wish him the best of luck in Ottawa and his future beyond the OHL."
