October 20, 2019 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Oshawa Generals News Release

The Generals will be looking to rebound from a hard loss at the hands of the Sarnia Sting - when they face the Petes at home at 6:05pm Sunday. This will be a match of the top two teams in the OHL standings. Both teams have had a day off, so be ready for another spirited game filled with rock 'em sock 'em action.

Players to Watch; Oshawa Brett Neumann - Neumann's play was a bright spot in Friday night's loss to the Sting. In a pressure situation to try and keep the winning streak alive, Neumann stayed calm and collected scoring his first hat trick in a Generals uniform. Neumann leads the Generals in points (17) and goals (9). Neumann is a small, but really fast player and will continue to be an offensive force.

Dawson McKinney - McKinney has been a strong addition to the Generals bottom-6 forward corps this season. He picked up an assist on a Ryan Gagnier goal in Friday night's loss in a sequence which he drove the play like a veteran. The 17-year-old played 2 games last season but was kept off the scoreboard. This season he has 3 goals and 1 assist in his first 7 games playing in a depth role. Look at McKinney not just as a strong depth player this season, but someone who will be a big part of the Generals moving forward.

Players to Watch; Peterborough Hunter Jones - Hunter Jones was the top goalie selected in last season's NHL entry draft - selected by the Minnesota Wild 59th overall. Jones has been solid for the Petes this season attaining 8 wins through his first 9 starts and has a save percentage of .914. Jones will be a formidable adversary for a strong Generals offence - if he gets the start Sunday.

Semyon Der-Arguchintsev - Der-Arguchintsev is a Toronto Maple Leafs prospect seen to have great potential. He is a smaller player who is slight of frame (5'10", 159lbs) but, he brings an abundance of skill to the table. The Russian has seen his points production explode this season with a league leading 17 assists on the season and almost half as many points through the first 10 games as he scored all of last season. (2-17-19).
