Rampage Make Roster Moves

SAN ANTONIO (November 17, 2009) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Brad Treliving announced today that the American Hockey League club has recalled center Justin Bernhardt and right wing Matt Watkins from the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL). In addition, the Rampage have signed defensemen Robbie Bina and Kenny MacAulay each to a Professional Try-Out (PTO).

Bernhardt, 21, has tallied three goals and one assist in nine games with the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL) during the 2009-10 season. The Yorkton, Saskatchewan native began the season with the Rampage registering five penalty minutes in three games. He accumulated 242 points (103 goals, 139 assists) in 307 career WHL games with Prince Albert, Kelowna, and Regina (2003-09).

Watkins, 23, has appeared in 14 games with the Wranglers, posting four goals and seven assists, good for 11 points this season. The Aylesbury, Saskatchewan native looks to make his AHL debut this Friday. He was selected by the Dallas Stars in the fifth round (160th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Bina, 26, has recorded 14 points (3 goals, 11 assists) in 14 games with the Wranglers this season. The Grand Forks, North Dakota native split the 2008-09 season with the Springfield Falcons (AHL) and the Stockton Thunder (ECHL) collecting one goal and seven assists with each team in 28 and 37 games, respectively. He also appeared in 14 post-season games with the Thunder in 2008-09 recording two goals and four assists.

MacAulay, 25, has appeared in 14 games with the Stockton Thunder (ECHL) this season, posting one goal and 10 assists. The Baddeck, Nova Scotia native has skated in 53 career AHL games (2007-09) collecting one goal and eight assists. He has registered eight goals and 47 assists in 95 career ECHL games and is a two-time ECHL All-Star. The blueliner served as the team captain for the Fresno Falcons (ECHL) during the 2008-09 season.

The Rampage face the Peoria Rivermen this Friday at the AT&T for a 7 p.m. puck drop. This Friday is also a KISS Rocks $1 Drink Night.
