Grand Rapids Rampage News Release
Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Rampage selected lineman Moses Harper from today's Arena Football League Dispersal Draft. The draft enabled teams to select from the roster of the Toronto Phantoms, who recently ceased operations.
Harper (6-4, 285, Lambuth) made his Phantoms debut last season on July 13 against New Jersey, after being signed from the practice roster. He originally joined Toronto's practice squad on May 30, and was signed to the active roster on July 4. Prior to joining the Phantoms, Harper spent time with the San Francisco 49ers in 2001, but was released before the regular season.
Harper began his college career at Alabama State University, but finished at Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn. During his senior campaign (2000), he recorded 12 unassisted tackles and 39 assisted tackles. He ranked eighth on the team in total tackles and second among all linemen.
