Third baseman Brandon Jones will get to keep his two-run homerun that he hit in the bottom of the second inning of Fort Worth's suspended game against the Abilene Prairie Dogs on Tuesday night at LaGrave Field in Fort Worth, TX. Abilene and Fort Worth will resume the game Friday evening followed by their regularly scheduled game, which will be shortened to seven innings.
Jones' homerun was his ninth of the season and now ties the league lead with Abilene first baseman Joe Weik.
The Cats will be in a crucial situation when the game resumes with Jon Dziomba on second base with only one out. The score when the game picks up will be 3-2 Abilene.
First pitch of the suspended game will be at 6:05 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at FWCats.com or by phone at (817)332-CATS.
Both teams face off again in Abilene Wednesday evening at 7:05.
