Rain Washes Away Tonight's Playoff Game

GENEVA, IL - Rain has postponed this evening's Game 2 Midwest League playoff matchup between the Kane County Cougars and Burlington Bees, which was originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Elfstrom Stadium. Game 2 will be rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. tomorrow evening in Geneva. A third and "if necessary" game will be played Saturday, also at Elfstrom Stadium with a 6:30 p.m. start. That means if the Cougars do advance to the second round of the MWL Playoffs, Game 1 of the Western Division Championship Series would take place on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Elfstrom Stadium.

Fans who held tickets for tonight's game may use their tickets for tomorrow evening's contest, which is still designated as "Playoff Game A". Fans with questions can call the Cougars box office at (630) 232-8811 or go to www.kccougars.com.

The originally scheduled pitching matchup for Game 2 will likely be rolled over to tomorrow, as the Cougars' Scott Hodsdon (5-8, 2.93) will oppose Burlington's Alex Caldera (12-6, 2.90).
