Rain Postpones Keys and Red Sox, Again

Opening Day 2011 will now have to wait until Sunday afternoon after rain in Salem, VA postponed the Keys and Red Sox for a second consecutive night. Frederick and Salem were scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday evening but will now play two on Sunday afternoon and play a double dip the next time the Keys come to Salem in late May.

First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. for Sunday's doubleheader. RHP Ryan O'Shea will start game one and RHP Oliver Drake is set to follow him in game two. The Red Sox will toss LHP Drake Britton in game one and will send RHP Pete Ruiz to the hill for game two. Both contests will be seven-inning affairs.

Coverage of the Keys will start at 2:45 p.m. with the UPS Store pre-game show on 1450AM The Source. Opening Night at Harry Grove Stadium is Tuesday, April 12. It will be "Save Your Keys" Night at the ballpark and every fan in attendance will receive a Save Your Keys t-shirt. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. and gates will open at 6 p.m.
