Railroaders Escape Jam in Ninth Inning

OCONOMOWOC, WI. - The Cleburne Railroaders beat the Lake Country DockHounds in game two of the series 4-2 Saturday evening.

After loading the bases in the first inning, Evan Kruczynski threw a wild pitch which scored Chuck Taylor. Kacy Clemens doubled to score two more runs for the Railroaders.

In the top of the second, Nick Shumpert whacked a solo homer to move the score 4-0.

In the third, Daikan Yoh doubled to right-center field to score Lamar Briggs. The throw-in from the shortstop Shumpert was wild and went out of play, advancing Yoh to score. The score was then 4-2, Cleburne.

The DockHounds would load the bases in the bottom of the ninth with one out, put two pop-ups in the infield would seal the 4-2 victory for the 'Roaders.

The DockHounds will continue their homestand with game three of the series against the Cleburne Railroaders on Sunday, August 7th. The first pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. Broadcaster Sam Matheny will be on the call, live from Wisconsin Brewing Company Park.
