CARY, N.C. (Friday, Sept. 17, 2010) - The Carolina RailHawks hit the road for their final away match of the 2010 regular season on Saturday, when they will meet Crystal Palace Baltimore at 5 p.m. at Paul Angelo Russo Stadium.

With Carolina's place in the postseason secure as a result of Thursday's 1-1 draw between Austin and Tampa Bay, RailHawks coach Martin Rennie has his team focused on closing out this season's fine away form on a high note. In 2010, the RailHawks (10-9-8, 38 points) have set new club records for away wins (six) and away points (22).

"It's been the franchise's most successful season on the road, so we're just looking to finish it off properly and build some momentum as we return home and prepare for the playoffs," Rennie said.

The RailHawks are 1-1-1 in the season series against Baltimore (6-15-6, 24 points). In their most recent meeting on Sept. 3, the RailHawks scored a season-high three goals in a 3-0 win at WakeMed Soccer Park. In their only other trip to Baltimore this season, the RailHawks fell 2-1.

Though the RailHawks have been shut out in their last two matches, that streak should come to an end this weekend. Carolina has scored five goals on Palace this season from five different players (Floyd Franks, Matt Watson, Daniel Paladini, Allan Russell and Tom Heinemann). Furthermore, Baltimore enters the match winless since the last time the RailHawks visited. In the five games since Aug. 14, Palace is 0-5-0 and has not scored a goal in 491 minutes. They have conceded 17 goals during that same span.

After this weekend's road trip, the RailHawks return to WakeMed Soccer Park for their final two regular-season matches. They meet the Puerto Rico Islanders on Sept. 25 and close out the regular season against the Austin Aztex on Oct. 1.
