
RailHawks Partner with North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame

CARY, NC - The Carolina RailHawks are proud to announce a new multi-year partnership with the North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame, beginning in the 2016 season. The North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame (NCSHOF) is a 20-year-old organization devoted to promoting and supporting the game of soccer in North Carolina and honoring those persons who have influenced the sport in the state.
The RailHawks are teaming up with the NCSHOF to help further grow the game of soccer. To assist with the mission, the RailHawks will support NCSHOF's annual induction ceremony, spotlight Hall of Fame inductees at a game during the 2016 season, and support NCSHOF's website through CarolinaRailHawks.com, amongst other arrangements.
The North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame has announced four new inductees for 2016: Douglas Kidd, Logan Pause, Tab Ramos, and Jay Vidovich.
The 2016 North Carolina Soccer Hall of Fame Dinner will take place on Saturday, January 30th at 6:15 pm at the North Raleigh Hilton Hotel (3415 Wake Forest Rd. in Raleigh). Tickets for the Banquet Dinner are available for purchase here.
The NCSHOF's affiliates and Board of Directors represent youth soccer, adult soccer, referees, and high school coaches throughout North Carolina. The NCSHOF has inducted 19 Hall of Fame classes and 51 Hall of Fame members, with the twentieth Hall of Fame class to be inducted this year. Past inductees have included two-time Olympic gold medalist and World Cup champion Mia Hamm, 21-time NCAA champion and UNC women's soccer Coach Anson Dorrance, former US Women's National Team captain Carla Overbeck, former US Soccer Secretary General Hank Steinbrecher, and Carolina RailHawks President and General Manager Curt Johnson, among many others.
