RailHawks Host Crystal Palace Baltimore Saturday Night

CARY, N.C. (Friday, June 18, 2010) - The Carolina RailHawks (3-2-4, 13 pts.), return to league play Saturday, as they host Crystal Palace Baltimore (3-6-2, 11 pts.) at WakeMed Soccer Park. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and tickets ($10, $15 and $20, +$2 day of game) can be purchased at the LGFCU Box Office, by calling 919-859-5425 or by visiting www.carolinarailhawks.com. It is "Bark in the Park" night and special $3 "Dog Tickets" are available for our four-legged friends. All proceeds from the "Dog Tickets" will benefit the Wake County SPCA. The RailHawks will also be celebrating Father's Day and all dads in attendance will receive two passes to the 10th anniversary SAS Championship in September as well as a raffle ticket to win great prizes from the RailHawks' sponsors.

"It will be great to play in our stadium again," said RailHawks coach Martin Rennie. "We're on a good run at the moment and we want to continue that with an aggressive attacking performance."

Crystal Palace Baltimore comes to WakeMed Soccer Park after a 2-1 loss against the Rochester Rhinos at Marina Auto Stadium. They are led by former Charleston Battery forward Randi Patterson who has tallied four goals so far this season. Former Carolina RailHawks midfielder Santiago Fusilier will make his return to WakeMed Soccer Park for the first time since 2008. Last Tuesday Crystal Palace lost to the USL-2's Richmond Kickers 1-0 in the first round of the US Open Cup.

The RailHawks return to Cary after a four-game road trip that earned them eight points out of a possible twelve. The RailHawks also advanced to the second round of the US Open Cup last Tuesday by defeating the Charlotte Eagles of USL-2 1-0 with a goal scored by Sallieu Bundu.

Next the RailHawks travel to Charleston, S.C. to face the Battery in the second round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup on Tuesday, June 22 at 7:30 p.m. They return home to host the Montreal Impact on Saturday June, 26 at 7 p.m. before embarking on another four-game road trip in July. June 26th will also be "Team Poster" night and fans will not want to miss out on this exciting giveaway.
