
RailHawks Announce Second Annual Bark In The Park Night

CARY, N.C. (Thursday, May 27, 2010) - The RailHawks announced today the Second Annual "Bark in the Park Night" will be held at WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, June 19 at 7 p.m. when the team hosts Crystal Palace Baltimore. Special $3 dog tickets will be made available for pets and their owners will have a chance to purchase discounted tickets for the event. Tickets may be purchased at the LGFCU Box Office, by calling 919-859-5425 or by visiting www.carolinarailhawks.com
The RailHawks will donate all proceeds for the $3 dog ticket to the SPCA of Wake County and fans are encouraged to bring their pets and learn more about the great things the SPCA does to save pets in the area. In addition to the SPCA, the American Kennel Club will be available in the concourse to answer any questions fans might have. The AKC will also be offering the option to enroll in the new AKC Canine Partners Program for mixed-breed dogs with a $10 discount on their $35 enrollment fee.
The American Kennel Club will also be a part of halftime festivities with the exciting AKC Sport of Dog Agility demonstration. Last year over 50 dogs came to the match with their owners and the RailHawks expect a good showing this year too.
In addition to being "Bark in the Park night" at WakeMed Soccer Park, the RailHawks are preparing a special "Father's Day" celebration with contests and specials for all the dads in the Triangle. A list of prizes and events will be announced soon.
The RailHawks continue their road trip on Sunday when they travel to Montreal to face the Impact at 2 p.m. The team then continues on to Portland and Vancouver on June 6 and 9 before returning home for their first US Open Cup fixture (June 15 TBD) and their next regular season home game on June 19.
