RailCats to celebrate Crosstown Classic and the 1970's during upcoming series

Gary, IN - The Gary SouthShore RailCats Professional Baseball Club today announced a series of special promotions for the upcoming series between the RailCats and Lincoln Saltdogs, June 27-30 at U. S. Steel Yard.

For the RailCats game Monday, June 27, all fans wearing either Cubs or White Sox paraphernalia, on the heels of the conclusion of the annual Cubs and White Sox Crosstown Classic series, can purchase a box or reserved seat ticket at half price. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, June 29, fans can celebrate the days of disco during 70s Night. All fans born in the 70s, dressed in 70s attire, wearing something with the number seven on it, or with a current age that includes the number seven (seventy-two, forty-seven, etc.) will get two box or reserved seat tickets for seven dollars. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Then, during a special 12:00 p.m. game, Thursday June 30, the RailCats will offer half price box or reserved seat tickets to any fan bringing a note from their boss or workplace, excusing them from work that day in order to see the game. The game also falls on Thirsty Thursday, when all 16 ounce Miller and Miller Lite drafts are available for $2.00, courtesy of Miller Brewing Company.

The RailCats continue a six-game road trip tonight in Lincoln, Nebraska at 7:00 p.m. Tonight's game can be heard on WEFM, 95.9 FM, and at www.railcatsbaseball.com, with pre-game coverage beginning at 6:50 p.m.
