
RailCats Part of Pro Baseball Try-Out Camp

The Gary SouthShore RailCats of the American Association, along with the Frontier League's Schaumburg Boomers and Evansville Otters are returning to Tennessee for their annual spring try-out camp.
The Lake Erie Crushers of the Frontier League, Managed by Chris Mongiardo, will join Managers Greg Tagert of the RailCats, Jamie Bennett of the Boomers, and Otters Manager Andy McCauley in the search for prospective players for the 2015 season.
The camp will take place in Lebanon, TN at Woody Hunt Stadium on the campus of defending NAIA National Champions, Cumberland University on Saturday, March 14th. Sunday, March 15th will be held to accommodate an overï¬âow of players and/or weather delays.
All free agent players 18 and over are welcome to attend. There is a $65.00 fee to participate in the camp, payable in cash only upon registration the day of the camp. Players need to supply their own equipment, including wood bats and catching gear.
Registration on March 15 begins as follows:
Position Players: 9:00 AM
Pitchers: 12:30
24 players who have attended the camp, have signed professional contracts, including 2014 Frontier League All-Star, Otters inï¬Âelder Josh Allen; Boomers Catcher Ty Nelson, and RailCats First Baseman Michael Schroeder.
