SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - Tonight's scheduled game between the Gary SouthShore RailCats and Schaumburg Flyers at Alexian Field has been cancelled due to persistent rainfall in the Chicago area. No makeup date has been announced.
The RailCats have won six of their last seven games and were scheduled to begin a three-game weekend series Friday night. The series will now begin Saturday at 6:05 p.m., with the RailCats slated to send Grant Johnson (2-3, 5.57 ERA) against Schaumburg right-hander Ed Almonte (2-2, 3.32). That game will be broadcast live on 89.1 FM, The Lakeshore, and online at www.railcatsbaseball.com.
