Gary SouthShore Railcats News Release

LOVES PARK, Ill. - Tuesday's scheduled game between the Gary SouthShore RailCats and Rockford RiverHawks at Road Ranger Stadium has been postponed by rain. The two teams will now meet for a pair of seven inning games Wednesday night in Rockford, beginning at 6:05 p.m.

Tuesday's game is the third straight scheduled contest in Rockford to be impacted by non-stop rain, following Saturday's suspended game and a rainout Sunday, both against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. More rain pounded Rockford (7-9) Tuesday and was expected to continue through the night, leaving the field unplayable.

Wednesday's doubleheader will be the second of the season already for the RailCats, who swept a pair of games June 1 from the Winnipeg Goldeyes.

The RailCats (8-9) will send left-hander Brad Halsey (1-1, 0.57 ERA) against Kyle Ruwe (0-2, 4.87 ERA) in game one, and bring Zach McClellan (0-2, 5.11 ERA) in the nightcap against left-hander Roger Lincoln (1-1, 3.54 ERA). Both games will be broadcast in their entirety on 89.1 FM, The Lakeshore, and on the web at www.railcatsbaseball.com.
