Bloomington Extreme News Release

ROCHESTER (N.Y.) - The Extreme defense that held Maryland to six points last week was nowhere to be found this week as the Rochester Raiders? offensive put together a potent attack in a 56-41 victory over Bloomington at the Dome Arena Friday night.

Raider (4-3) running back Jamil Porter scored four touchdowns, while wide receiver Kevin Concepcion caught three touchdowns to lead Rochester. Extreme (3-4) Wide receiver Charles Sullivan caught three touchdowns to lead Bloomington.

It did not take long for Rochester to put some points on the board as Porter took it in from two-yards out on their third play of the game to make it 7-0. On the Extreme?s ensuing drive however, kicker Peter Christofilakos booted a 35-yard field goal to cut the Raider lead to 7-3. That is as close as the Extreme would get as touchdown receptions by Raider wide receivers Conception and Chris Carter made it 20-3 to end the first quarter.

With 12 seconds remaining in the half, Porter caught screen pass and took it 40 yards as time expired for a touchdown as Rochester went into halftime with a 37-13 lead.

The Extreme looked to get back into the game on their second play of the second half as quarterback Rocky Hinds snuck one in from one-yard out to cut the lead to 37-20. However on their ensuing drive, Porter once again found the end zone, this time a five-yard run to make it 44-20.

Conception caught his third touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter to build a commanding 56-27 lead. Late touchdown receptions by Sullivan and wide receiver Ottis Lewis cut the deficit to 56-41.

The Extreme will play the final of their two-game road trip when they travel to Omaha, Neb., to take on the Omaha Beef next Saturday. Kick-off is set for 7:05 p.m.
