Raiders Announce Auction Details for Throwback Jerseys

February 14, 2022 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Prince Albert Raiders News Release

Prince Albert, Sask. - The Prince Albert Raiders will be wearing specialty throwback jerseys presented by Canadian Tire on Saturday night when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors at the Art Hauser Centre.

The jerseys featuring the Raiders' pirate logo originally made their debut in the 1999-2000 season, worn by the likes of Scott Hartnell, Milan Kraft, and Nick Schultz.

These specialty jerseys are fully stitched, from the crest on the front to the patches on the shoulder. Instead of the patches worn on the shoulders during their first run, they have been swapped for the Raiders' 50th Anniversary logo and a Canadian Tire logo as the presenting sponsor.

An auction for the available jerseys will begin on Tuesday, February 15 at 10 a.m. CST on 32auctions.com. Opening bids start at $300 with a minimum of bid increase of $15. A buy now option for an individual jersey will be available for $450. There will be an additional $15 charge for any jerseys that need to be shipped.

There will also be one team-signed jersey available for auction. It will follow the same bidding procedure as the others, however there will be no buy-now option.

The online portion of the jersey auction will end on Saturday, February 19 at Noon CST. Any jerseys not bought outright will be available via silent auction at the volunteer station in the Johnny Bower Lobby. The highest bid from the online auction will carry over to the silent auction.

Saturday night's game against the Warriors is the second home game of the weekend. The Raiders host the Regina Pats on Friday night at the Art Hauser Centre.

Game time for both of this weekend's home games is 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Raiders Office and at SaskTix.ca.
